Planning for Non Planners

This one day course will provide non-planners with a robust introduction to the NSW planning system. The morning session will examine the planning process in NSW, who does what and what all the terms and jargon mean. The afternoon session will examine planning case studies in detail, from lodgement of the application for development through to the final planning approval.  In addition, there will be a question and answer session where participants will have the opportunity once and for all to demystify the planning system.

Dates offered in 2012: March 26, June 25, October 29

Time: 9:15am to 4:30pm

Venue: Heritage Centre, 346A Church St Parramatta

Content includes:

• LEPS, SEPPs, developer contributions, EP&A Act, etc etc
• What does all this jargon mean and how does the planning system work in NSW?
• How do local councils fit into the planning system?
• How do citizens participate in the planning system?

Target audience:
Anyone who needs to better understand how the planning system operates.
