There is a resurgence of interest in Urban Design and place-making at the Local and State Government level. Those involved are sometimes hampered by a lack of knowledge about some of the key concepts and practices. This four day program for strategic planners and development assessment officers aims to provide an intensive introduction to the discipline of Urban Design (its key concepts and elements) and a solid, practical, grounding in local area analysis and quality design outcomes, predominantly at the plan making stage, but also for development assessment.
