SURF Projects

The Sustainable UWS Rolling Fund (surf) program funds sustainability projects that are developed, managed and implemented by UWS staff and students.

SURF Weed Wiper Selective Weed Control Applicator – School Of Natural Science
The purchase of a Weed Wiper that will fit existing tractors and implements and enable the selective application of herbicides into weed infested areas including native bushland areas under threat from weeds.

Turnaround Leadership for Sustainability in Higher Education

UWS are leading an international research project (opens in a new window) (PDF 466Kb) funded by the Australian Leading and Teaching Council (ALTC) in a partnership with the Australian National University (ANU) and the Salzburg Sustainable Futures Academy (SFA). The aim of the project is to produce a calidated Leadership Capability Framework and leadership support system specifically situated in the context of leading Education for Sustainability (EFS) in Higher Education.
