Dr Gang Zheng is a Research Lecturer in NMR/MRI in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences.

Research

Gang's research interests include development and application of new Pulse Gradient Solid Echo (PGSE) Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) diffusion experiments, solvent signal suppression in NMR experiments, protein aggregation, peptide-lipid interactions, environmental monitoring, quantitative structure and activity/property relationship (QSAR/QSPR) studies of persistent organic pollutants, and the application of pattern recognition to environmental science.

Teaching Interests

Since finishing his Master's degree in 2004, Gang has taught and supervised many Higher Degree Research (HDR) students, as well as honours students, third year science projects and one Summary Scholarship project. He has also supervised applied instrumentation and bio-device labs at UWS.

Gang also coordinates the Biomolecular Science Project unit and the supervision medicinal chemistry labs.
