Penrith is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains on the spectacular Nepean River. The Blue Mountains provides plenty of opportunities for bushwalking, picnics and mountain bike riding while the Penrith locals use the river for water-skiing or a day out picnicking.
The multicultural population of over 180,000 people enjoy a mix of city and semi-rural areas. From the large Westfields shopping centre, to the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, to the local sporting clubs and outdoor adventure activities, there is something for everyone.
