Ethics Project Report

The University is not only obliged to monitor research to ensure the rights and interests of participants are protected, it is also concerned to foster responsible research, thereby maintaining the reputation of the University and its researchers.

Researchers are required to provide a brief report outlining the implementation of the ethics protocol at the completion of any project that received ethics approval from an ethics committee. A single report is to be supplied to the Ethics Officer at completion of the project.

Any unforeseen events, adverse or otherwise, or significant variations to the research protocol which might affect continued ethical acceptability of the project should be reported immediately to the relevant UWS Research Ethics Committee using the Project Report Form (Word, 124Kb).

Projects that are approved for greater than one year are also required to provide progress reports annually to Human Ethics - humanethics@uws.edu.au.

The Ethics Project Report may be used for:

  • annual progress reports
  • final reports at the project completion and
  • in the event of an adverse event occurring during a project.

Please supply the original (only) to Human Ethics, Research Services, Building K1, Penrith Campus.
