All commencing higher degree by research places for Australian citizens and permanent residents, and NZ citizens are funded by the Australian Government under the Research Training Scheme (RTS). RTS places are awarded to commencing students for a maximum period of two years full time equivalent for a masters student, and four years full time equivalent for a doctoral student.
