Management Information and Statistics

Course performance reports, survey results and other statistics are available to staff on the OPQ intranet (staff login required).

The Office of Planning and Quality:

• Coordinates the design, implementation and reporting on the UWS Tracking and Improvement System
   
• Develops accessible management information and diagnostic reports on key areas of UWS performance. The University's Executive Information Systems (EIS) is built using Cognos PowerPlay software which allows users to easily access different views of the data in various levels of detail
   
• Helps ensure the integrity of data being drawn from other databases including the Callista student system

• Develops high level briefing papers for the University Executive to facilitate decision making on a range of educational and financial issues, including DEST student load and funding 
   
• Assists the University to produce report and submissions to DEST and other external agencies, such as the Institutional Assessment Framework
   
• Collects and analyses information to provide strategic intelligence to Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Committee (VCAC) and the University Executive on a range key policy issues and trends, including economic, demographic, technological and social developments.
