The inaugural MEdEx conference, held last July at the same location, was a successful, well-attended and interesting day. Speakers covered topics such as improving the reliability of the MSAT exam (Dr Michael Wan, UND); facilitating student transition to internship through assessment of collaborative competencies (Dr Asela Olupeliyawa, UNSW); assessing empathy in the medical course (Dr Neville Chivaroli, UMelb); and workshops on simulation and on managing generational difference.
