Admission to the University of Western Sydney (UWS) is highly competitive and you must satisfy the academic and English language requirements of the University. 

If you do not meet the admission requirements for UWS, you have the opportunity to prepare for university study at UWSCollege.  UWSCollege is wholly owned by UWS and is the University's preferred provider of English language, university foundation studies and diploma courses

International student admission to UWS
You are an international student if you are:

  • not an Australian or New Zealand citizen
  • not an Australian permanent resident

Apply direct to UWS
International students must apply direct to the University of Western Sydney. 

Some international students apply via UAC International.

Apply via UAC International
If you are an international student completing one of the following qualifications in 2010, please apply through UAC International:

  • an Australian Year 12 in or outside Australia
  • an International Baccalaureate in Australia
  • a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) level 3
