Master of Science

The UWS Master of Science provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in diverse scientific fields, developing an understanding of new specialist fields or extending previous expertise.

The following specialisations are offered:

• Occupational safety, health and environmental management
• Climate change and environmental management

• Biotechnology

Alternatively, a generic option is also available.

Critically evaluate the social, economic and environmental impacts of policy and management decisions, while analysing current and emerging issues in your area of specialisation. You will also develop skills to apply strategies, taking leadership in responding to change. The course embraces innovative teaching approaches; it links teaching, industry and the community, allowing you to place study and learning in real-world contexts. It embraces a range of innovative approaches to teaching and is designed to equip our graduates with a passion for life-long learning.

All staff involved in the teaching of the course are experts in their field of specialisation and have strong research and consultancy links to industry. This experience allows them to incorporate leading edge knowledge, research and technology into their teaching.
