Experience:
James has worked in Australia and Japan as a product designer, educator and producer of furniture and sculpture. His work is held in permanent collections such as the National Gallery of Australia and Kazuhiro Tamura mountain sculpture garden in Japan.
Teaching experience:
He joined the University of Western Sydney in 1999 as a lecturer delivering and developing teaching material for Design & Technology and Industrial Design degrees.
Prior teaching experience was with Parsons School of Design New York, Japanese affiliate school (Kanazawa International Design Institute) as head of product prototyping dep. Product design lecturer and core team member at the inception of the product design course.
