Professor Alan Jeary

Biography

Alan has worked on five continents and speaks five languages, placing great importance on language precision.
His is on three editorial boards of international journals and a referee for ten international journals. Previously, Alan was head of departments in Hong Kong and the UK. He is also a member of wind loading committees in Europe, Hong Kong and Australia. Telford laureate 1981.

Alan has published over 200 papers on various topics. He has undertaken full-scale experiements on five continents.  Interests include structural dynamics, fire, cosntruction management, damping in structures and codification.
