Program details:

This session will explore how primary and middle school students about the globe have engaged in the Quest Atlantis virtual world game environment. While not all virtual worlds are games, Quest Atlantis has developed a series of playable fictions as part of its curriculum-based game architecture.  In these playable fictions students are part of the game narrative where their decisions and actions create consequences that impact on the virtual world environment and their learning. The best way to understand what is meant by a playable fiction is to come along and enter into the game. Participants in this session will have to opportunity to be immersed hands-on in Quest Atlantis and hear how this program is being used in various school contexts across NSW.
