Still using Bloom to differentiate your thinking skills processes in your class? Need some inspiration to ensure you and the students are really challenged in the learning. As often when you are planning your curriculum to meet the needs of gifted students the content and products are differentiated. The processes involved in teaching and learning need to be addressed to ensure the needs of gifted students are met. Therefore utilising the Taxonomy of Thinking Skills (Burns) based upon the work of Renzulli’s Type II activities in his Schoolwide Enrichment Model – planning curriculum for gifted students is developed. The various skills – creative, executive, analytical and critical – will be explored and methods of incorporating the skills in your curriculum will be developed. |
