Program details: 

This professional development will provide teachers with effective literacy teaching and learning strategies to enhance planning and development of primary students. The focus is on how teachers should teach reading and writing, making students confident readers and writers, and planning and preparing reading and writing activities. 

Standards:

2.2.2 Apply knowledge of the typical stages of students’ physical, social and intellectual development as well as an awareness of exceptions to general patterns.
2.2.3 Apply practical and theoretical knowledge and understandings of the different approaches to learning to enhance student outcomes.
