If you are a UniTrack, Non-Award or Cross Institutional student you need to follow these steps to enrol.
A quick start guide is available to help you through the online enrolment process:
You’ll need to have your UWS student number with you to accept your offer through our online selection and course acceptance system OSCAS.
Follow the process through OSCAS and then proceed to activate your MyUWSAccount.
In your letter of offer we included your UWS student ID number. You’ll need this number to activate your MyUWSAccount.
Your MyUWSAccount is a secure environment providing access through MyUWS to your free student email account, Platform Web, vUWS and MySR.
We send important information about your enrolment to your student email account, not by post, so it is important that you check it regularly – every day if you can and at least twice a week.
You must activate your account before you can proceed.
MyStudentRecords (MySR) is our online student records system. With MySR you can enrol at any time (during the enrolment period) from anywhere.
Read through the instructions in the Enrolling for the first time guide carefully. You can also call the Student Central Infoline on 1300 668 370 or call into any Student Central for assistance.
If you’re using MySR from home, you must make sure that you have Javascript installed and that you have disabled any popup blockers before you login to MySR. The MySR Help page has more information about how to do this.
The quickest way to get to MySR is through MyUWS.
An information session for students who have received an offer to a UniTrack course for Autumn 2012 will be held during Orientation, just before the teaching period commences. At this session you can find out how to use MyStudentRecords to enrol, what you need to tell us, and how to find out important information on our website. There will also be supported computer labs available for step-by-step assistance with online enrolment.
You are responsible for accessing and checking the teaching session timetable information to work out where and when units are being offered. You will not receive any kind of hard copy timetable from Academic staff.
The online timetable in Platform Web allows you to see what lecture and tutorial times are available. It is a good idea to check this information as part of your unit selection research, as it will display lectures, tutorials and classes that you need to attend as part of your enrolment.
When you have enrolled in your units, make a list of when you want to attend lectures and tutorials so you will be ready when tutorial registration opens.
Most units have options for tutorials and classes, and you need to register to attend these. Tutorial registration is another online process separate to enrolment. You must be enrolled in your units before tutorial registration commences. Each school has a different opening time for tutorial registration. Places in certain tutorials can be in high demand and quite competitive. The earlier you register, the more choice of times and days you may have.
Instructions on how to register are available online.
Your fees will depend on your program of study. More information on fees, including payment options, is available at:
» Fees, HELP, Payments and Census Dates
You must have a student ID card. This photo ID is used for library and photocopier services, accessing campus computer labs, and for identification purposes while you are on campus or in examinations. You may also be eligible to receive student travel concessions.
When you have enrolled, visit any Student Central and bring your student ID number and a current Driver's Licence, passport or other photo ID. It should only take five minutes for your card to be prepared.
If you are enrolling in a course with Special Requirements, you should bring the appropriate documentation with you when you apply for your student ID card.
Special Requirements include:
Details about the documentation you must provide are available on the Special Requirements webpage.
