Plan for tutorial registration

Are you ready?

For each unit you are studying, we will give you a list of tutorial times available and you register into the one you want. You have the flexibility to create a University timetable that can best fit your individual needs.

However, this means that when a school opens for online Tutorial Registration it is similar to when tickets to a concert open online, and thousands of your fellow students log on at once to pick times.

As there are only limited places in each tutorial, you will need to be prepared!

Plan your timetable

1. Go to the Timetable page and search for your units individually.
2. On a weekly planner, plot your lecture times and the possible tutorial times.
3. Choose your preferred tutorial time for each of your units. 
4. Prepare one or two backup plans so you are not stuck if you miss out on one of your preferred times. 
5. Find out the opening time for Tutorial Registration for each of your units by logging into MyUWS Student Portal using your MyUWSAccount username (your student ID number) and password, and clicking on Platformweb and then Tutorial Registration. Make sure you can be online at that time. 
6. Make sure you enrol in your units in MySR well before your Tutorial Registration opening time. Remember it takes 3 hours for changes you make in MySR to be reflected in PlatformWeb
   

With your plans in place, you will be in the best position to get the classes you want when Tutorial Registration opens from 14 Feb.

Tips for the day

• As you can only change your registration five times, you will be asked if you are sure of your selection
• The system can run slowly when a school first opens, so be patient. Repeated requests to refresh your webpage also increase the load on the system and slow performance further
• Don’t hit the back button
