Location

The Penrith campus is situated in the suburb of Werrington, in the Penrith Local Government Area. The Penrith campus consists of three sites; Werrington North, Werrington South and Kingswood.

The Werrington North and South campuses are located on the Great Western Highway. Entrance to the North and South campuses is the Great Western Highway. The Kingswood campus is located on the corner of O’Connell Street and Second Ave, entrance is via Second Ave.

Getting Here and Getting Home

The Penrith campus is well serviced by public transport.

Bus

Westbus service 774-776 operates from the St Mary’s and Penrith stations, stopping at the Kingswood campus on the corner of Second Ave and O’Connell Street and at the corner of the Great Western Highway and Gipps street for the North and South campuses. Train

The closest station to the Werrington North campus is Werrington, serviced by the Western line.

The Kingswood station is approximately 1.3km from the Kingswood campus. The campus is a 10 minute bus trip via the UWS shuttle.

Walking and Cycling

The walk from Werrington Station to the Werrington North campus is approximately 15 minutes through a partially unmade path. Walking from the Kingswood station through Kingswood Park is a 10-15 minute walk.

Taxi

Cumberland Cabs (Premier Taxis) operate in the Nepean area. Please contact Cumberland Cabs on 13 10 17 to book a cab.

Car

The Penrith campus is accessible using the M4 Motorway. Please refer to UWS Interactive Maps for directions and travel times. Please be aware that parking on this campus is limited and parking permits and parking fees apply. For more information, please see Parking at UWS website.

Safe Travel

If catching public transport, please be aware not all train stations are attended by station staff. UWS recommends contacting CityRail (opens in a new window) for further information.

Safety of Campus

The University takes the safety of students and staff very seriously. If you are concerned about your safety on a UWS campus at anytime, please contact Penrith Campus Safety and Security on 02 4736 0431 to request an escort between buildings, to or from on-campus transport points and car parks. Parking

Please be aware that parking on this campus is limited and parking permits and parking fees apply. Please refer to Parking at UWS website to familiarise yourself with the UWS Traffic and Parking Policy and fees before choosing this travel option.

UWS Shuttle Bus

The Penrith campus sites of Kingswood, Werrington North and Werrington South are linked by a UWS shuttle bus service. The UWS shuttle bus operates from Kingswood Station departing every 30 minutes between 8.00am and 9.00pm during teaching periods. During non-teaching periods, the shuttle concludes at Kingswood Station at 5.40pm. The Penrith shuttle’s mobile number is 0403 707 986.
