Student Accommodation Development

The Campus Development Unit is responsible for the long term planning for student accommodation across all campuses. A review and analysis of existing accommodation and the demand for additional accommodation is currently being undertaken and this has resulted in a number of initiatives.

Penrith (Kingswood) Campus

The development of 100 new accommodation beds, a new common use area including games room, lounge, outdoor area, computer room and laundry, together with new landscaping is currently being built at the Kingswood campus. These new facilities will greatly improve the residential experience on Penrith campus and became available in early 2010.

Campbelltown Campus

The development of 200 new accommodation beds, expansion and upgrade of the existing internal common use area and a new landscaped outdoor area is currently underway at Campbelltown campus. These new facilities expand the existing accommodation to form a vibrant student accommodation precinct that became available in early 2010.

Parramatta Campus

We have worked closely with student accommodation provider Campus Living Villages on the planning and development of the UWS Village on Parramatta campus. This purpose built facility is brand new with our first residents arriving in 2009. The 345 bed facility comprises mostly 5 and 6 bedroom self-catered apartments together with a generous and well-appointed common use area. For more information, please see the UWS Village website.
