The UWS Hong Kong Alumni Chapter has been established to ensure that graduates currently residing in the region can retain their links to the University of Western Sydney.

With over 5,000 Hong Kong Alumni, UWS aims to grow and support the Alumni Chapter in association with partner institutions such as Hong Kong Baptist University.

The profile of UWS graduates in Hong Kong primarily features the health and business sectors. Hong Kong was the first city outside Australia to host a UWS alumni chapter.

Coming Soon: 2012 UWS Hong Kong Alumni Event

In celebration of the upcoming 2012 UWS-HKBU graduations to be held in Hong Kong, the UWS Alumni Relations team are planning an event for all of our local alumni, new and existing, as guests of the UWS Alumni Association.

Help us by suggesting a venue:

We are planning a local event in Hong Kong on June 1st or 2nd and are seeking suggestions from local UWS graduates for a suitable hotel or bar in a central location.

If you have any recommendations for a venue we would be happy to hear from you at alumni@uws.edu.au or contact us via our social media networks as linked.

We would also be interested to know your thoughts in relation to the day of the event. Would you prefer a Friday evening event, or Saturday afternoon?  – let us know.

2011 UWS Hong Kong Alumni Function Photos

UWS held an event for their Hong Kong Alumni on the 29 May, 2011 in Hong Kong. This was a great opportunity to reconnect all alumni living in Hong Kong, as well as to build connections and network with other UWS Hong Kong alumni.

The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Janice Reid, AM, Chancellor Professor Shergold AC, as well as other executives from UWS.

2011 UWS Hong Kong Graduate Award Ceremony

The 2011 Hong Kong Graduate Award Ceremony was held on Sunday 29th May 2011, in full academic dress. This was for the class of 2010 and 2011 for Hong Kong.

The awards will be presented to each graduate by the new Chancellor of UWS, Professor Peter Shergold AC, and was attended by the Vice Chancellor of UWS, Professor Janice Reid AM, the Head of the UWS School of Nursing and Midwifery, Professor Rhonda Griffiths AM, and other senior staff from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and UWS.

UWS Hong Kong Alumni Chapter Membership

Every graduate of The University of Western Sydney is invited to join the UWS Hong Kong Alumni Chapter. Members will be kept informed of news and upcoming activities associated with the University, as well as specific chapter interests and opportunities. Membership is free.
